Current Skincare Routine

This year’s weather situation has been extremely inconsistent and therefore wreaking havoc on my skin. When the temperature rises to 60 then drops to 30 it leaves my skin feeling dry, with breakouts and completely in need of a skincare routine switch-up. Since trying multiple products I’ve gotten a better idea of what works for my skin and what doesn’t. Here are the products I’m currently trying and loving.D851534C-CEE3-404B-B199-E92306C8DBDA

Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser:

This is the first product I’ve tried from Glossier and I was not disappointed. This creamy cleanser has a gel-like feel that leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. If you’re debating trying anything from Glossier, I’d definitely recommend this cleanser as a start.

Glossier Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector:

I know toner might seem like an unnecessary extra step, but trust me, once you use it you will realize that it could be the one thing holding you back from the skin of your dreams. I first decided to try this toner because I was suffering from acne scars and the reviews raved about this being the solution. I haven’t used this exfoliating toner long enough to make a definite decision, but I will say that so far I think my scars look less red. This product also helps  A LOT with getting leftover makeup and grime off my face after cleansing.

Glossier Super Glow Vitamin C Serum:

As you can see, I took full advantage of the Glossier Black Friday sale (lol). The next step in my skincare routine is vitamin c serum. I think if you’re going to invest in any skincare product, it should be a quality serum. I love a good vitamin c serum because they brighten and energize dull skin. Ole Henriksen also makes a great vitamin c serum!

Farmacy Honey Grail:

Facial oils are what really caused me to fall in love with skincare. After some time, I think my skin started to get used to the oils I was using so I decided to take a break for about a year and a half. I’m so happy to be back on the oil bandwagon because my skin has been drinking up this oil and feeling softer than ever! This hydrating, honey infused oil leaves my skin feeling so smooth and looking radiant. I love wearing this if i’m having a makeup-free day because it gives your skin that glowy model off-duty look.

Shiseido Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream:

Okay, this cream will probably leave your bank account frowning, but a little goes a long way and trust me your skin will feel like you just took a trip to the nicest spa in NYC. This feels like luxury. After spending way too long using moisturizers that keep my skin moisturized but don’t really do much else, this has been the answer to my prayers. This cream is super hydrating and makes my skin glow. After only a couple uses I feel like my skin looks healthier and brighter. It makes me want to skip makeup and go for the dewy, fresh faced look. THAT is what I’ve been waiting for in a moisturizer.

Fresh Vitamin Nectar Vibrancy-Boosting Face Mask:

A couple times a week I like to spice up my skincare routine by using a mask. In the winter when my skin gets dull and dry I like to use a face mask to add some vibrancy. I recommend masking 2-3 times a week so you can give your skin a healthy dose of nourishment. If you’re using an acne mask that dries out your skin, try to use it only one day a week so it does more help than harm.
