There’s just something about summer that makes you want to explore and try new things. Whether it’s the heat of the sun, the sound of the birds chirping, or the feeling of the breeze combing through your hair, there’s just something uplifting about summer. With longer, sunnier days there’s so much more time to get out and try something new. Whether you’re into road tripping across the country or chilling at home in your PJs, there’s definitely something new and exciting that you can do. After months of social distancing I’m sure we could all use a little excitement! If you’re looking for some ideas, here’s what you can do:
Learn about investing
Nothing says adulting quite like getting your money right. There’s an abundance of great books and podcasts out there that will teach you all you need to learn about properly investing your money. Even if you’re not in the position to invest right now, it is always helpful to be knowledgeable on the subject and set it as a future goal.
Start a club
Being apart of a club is the perfect way to spend time with likeminded people who have similar interests. You could have a club that is centered around anything from cooking to racecar driving. If you can’t make it out of the house, join an online club. Meetup.com is an awesome source that will show you both in person and online clubs in your area. If you can’t find a club that you want to join, start one and invite friends. All you need is some likeminded people and a platform or space to share ideas.
Try a new hiking spot
Hiking is a great workout because it hardly even feels like one. The fresh air and scenic views will keep you entertained and motivated to climb higher. Hiking in the same spot every time can become mundane so make sure to check out other local hiking spots. This is a great, inexpensive day trip to have with friends and experience something new and healthy.
Forget the dog days of summer and spend the warmer months trying new things and opening yourself up to all the wonderful possibilities available to you. There is so much to learn and experience at no cost to you. Comment below how you’ll try something new this summer.
