Improving your life starts by improving your day. Small actions done daily lead to big results. Resist starting your days “going through the motions” and be more intentional of how you spend your time. Adding a level of intentionality to each day will improve your life tenfold.
Have a quiet morning

Many of us spend our days surrounded by noise. Whether it’s literally noise of dogs barking, screaming children, or inconsiderate roommates, it’s very common to hear madness from the moment that you wake up. Having quiet time in the morning is extremely meditative and it helps you to start your day on the right foot. Resist the urge to grab your phone and instead spend the quiet moments of the morning reflecting on your blessings and studying your feelings and the peaceful world around you. If it’s usually impossible for you to get peace and quiet first thing in the morning, try waking up earlier before the noise of others starts.
Give yourself at least an hour to get ready
Do yourself a favor and don’t rush. Being rushed creates unnecessary feelings of stress and anxiety. Those feelings have no place being in your everyday life. Give yourself at least an hour to get ready so you can have time to look your best, nourish your body, and get organized. If you are someone who is constantly late and rushing, you will find that this little change will elevate your life more than you imagined.
Journal
Most of us spend so much time getting to know other people and not enough time getting to know ourselves. Daily journalling helps you to get acquainted with yourself. Journaling has helped me to understand myself, my feelings, and more clearly see my situation.

Write a to-do list

If you want to sit down at the end of the night and feel successful and at peace, you should write a daily to-do list. With busy, daily life it’s easy to go through your days feeling like you didn’t quite accomplish enough. Writing a list and being clear about what you want to get done will keep you accountable and allow you to lay your head on your pillow feeling relieved.
Make time for people who matter
By making time to people who matter, you ensure that you’re cultivating enjoyable relationships and making the most of your time. As great as it is to work and be productive, life is to be enjoyed and nothing is more enjoyable than connecting with others. Make time for people that matter and limit your time with those who don’t.
Be mindful of what you eat
Having a healthy diet will transform the way you feel. It’s so important to eat foods that will give you strength and endurance. Contrary to popular belief, healthy food is delicious. Pinterest has tons of healthy snack options! Sometimes you don’t know how terrible your diet is making you feel until you adopt healthier habits.

Have a wind down routine

If you’re rushing and unorganized, nighttime can become a very stressful time of day. Instead of going from the crazy rushing of the day right into bed, allow yourself to have a nighttime routine. Completing a skincare routine, reading, meditating, and journaling are great to do at the end of the day to wind down before bed. This will help you to feel more calm and sleep better.
