Summer is in full swing and that means the sweaters are collecting dusts in the bottom drawer and the snow boots have been locked away. Summer fashion is great because it’s light, airy, colorful, and feminine. I love that I don’t have to take forever throwing on layers and instead I can throw on a flirty dress or an oversized band tee and be on my way. Now that social distancing restrictions have eased up, I’m having a great time putting my sweats to rest and having fun with fashion. I like my summer style to be stylish and easy. I want to look nice but I don’t want to waste a beautiful day standing in my closet thinking about what to wear. Her are my go-to summer wardrobe staples:
The T-Shirt Dress

I cannot live without a t-shirt dress. If you want to look put together with minimal effort you need to get your hands on a t-shirt dress. This dress is so comfy and can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. This is perfect to throw on if you’re staying home, meeting up with friends, or even going on a casual date night. I would dress this down with sneakers and a denim jacket. If I wanted to make it a little more dressed up I would pair it with black denim jacket, sandals, and a small purse.
Maxi Dress

Long, floral dresses are the perfect summer staple. I love how feminine and pretty this dress is. It’s extremely flattering and looks so fresh and summery. I always feel so effortlessly stylish when I wear a dress like this. Long dressed look with solid prints or floral, like this one. Because the beauty of this dress speaks for itself, you don’t need to go crazy with accessories. I would just throw on either a place of white sneakers or cute sandals and call it a day!
Cut Off Shorts

Is there anything as effortlessly feminine and cool as cut off shorts? I don’t think so. If I’m not wearing a t-shirt dress, you can find me in these. The rips and unfinished hems add an element of edge and coolness to otherwise average pair of jeans. This goes with pretty much anything and is so easy to throw on before heading out the door.
Band Tee/Graphic Tee

Typically when I’m wearing my cut offs I’ll pair them with a band tee for the ultimate “cool girl” look. Free People has the softest, most stylish band tees. They’re pricy but I think it’s worth it for a t-shirt that is good quality and sure to last you for years. These t shirts look so much better than a plain, boring shirt. It adds personality and edge to any outfit, making you look 10 times more fashionable.
Floral Skirt

I just started getting into this trend and I love it. Like a floral dress, this skirt style is feminine and fun. It’s comfortable and very lightweight, keeping you cool during the dog days of summer. This pairs well with a white tank, band t., sneakers or sandals. It’s an extremely versatile piece that should definitely have a place in your closet.
