Normally I’m not a big dessert person, I like salty more than sweet and I’m always the person who passes on dessert at a restaurant, that is, unless it’s summer. There’s something about the hot sun and longer days that makes me crave ice cream like a crazy person. Because the pandemic has left me limited with things to do indoors, I decided that the best way to cool down on a hot summer’s day – and remain safe from coronavirus- would be to get ice cream! Normally I turn to Ben & Jerry’s, because I love funky flavors, but I decided I would try to experiment a little more and try something different. If you’re in New Jersey and looking for a sweet way to cool down I recommend checking out Stack Creamery in Westwood, NJ.

Stack Creamery is unique because not only can you get a regular scoop of ice cream, but you can also get a delicious, custom ice cream sandwich. When creating your own ice cream sandwich, you pick two cookies to hold the ice cream together and an ice cream flavor for the center. After the sandwich is made you have the choice of one topping for the ice cream to be dipped in. I chose a chocolate cookie and a M&M cookie to hold together vanilla cookie dough ice cream. I added brownie crumble to top off the treat. This was so good and such a fun spin on a regular ice cream sandwich.
This ice cream isn’t for the simple vanilla cone lovers, it’s perfect for anyone who has a sweet-tooth and wants a dessert that’s a little more exciting. What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Comment below!
