Current Summer Favorites: Beauty and Lifestyle

Hey guys! I hope everyone’s doing well and enjoying the summer. I can’t believe it’s August! This summer have truly flown by, but I guess that’s what happens when you spend most days at home. I decided to do something a little different today and post my current favorites. I love posts like this because they introduce me to new products that I never knew about and let’s me know more about the person behind the blog. These are things that I’ve been loving this summer/quarantine. Some of these items are on the pricier side so if you’d want to see my favorite that are more affordable, let me know in the comments!

Anthropologie Tumbler

There’s something about this water bottle that makes me want to drink from it (I think it’s because it’s so cute and the straw is really comfortable to drink from). The past few months I totally fell of my water drinking flow and have been trying to motivate myself to stay hydrated. I decided that what better way to want to drink more water than to find an attractive cup to drink it from! I found this tumbler when I was working at Anthropologie and I just had to pick it up. This cup is glass so you won’t get that plastic or metal after taste when you drink from it.

Free People workout leggings

I love these leggings so much that I got them in two colors. At the beginning of the summer I started running and these leggings made the experience so much more enjoyable. They have pockets (AH!) that I keep my phone in when I run so I don’t have to be weighed down and distracted by my phone in my hand. They also really come in handy when bike riding. I keep my phone and lip balm in my pocket when I ride and it makes the biggest difference. The pockets are pretty deep so you don’t have to worry about anything falling out. I have these leggings in neon coral and black.

Mejuri Ring

I’m a big accessory girl. I love gold jewelry and wear it absolutely everyday. My old everyday ring was from Madewell and I really loved it but I would always forget to take it off when I washed my hands it became increasingly rusty. Ever since I was young my mom always wore a thin gold band that her grandmother passed on to her. I love how delicate and simple it looks on her finger so I decided to invest in a similar piece. I decided to get the Diamond Line Ring from Mejuri and I absolutely love it. It’s so dainty and pretty and the best part is it’s 14k gold so I don’t have to worry about it getting rusted. If you love jewelry I recommend investing in gold and silver pieces that will last you a lifetime. I spent so much money on costume jewelry that has either hurt my ears or have become damaged very quickly. I have come to realize that in the long run I’ll be able to save more money if I splurge a little more on classic pieces that I’ll wear forever. Another great thing about buying silver and gold is that you can sell it for a good price if you ever decide you need cash or don’t want the jewelry anymore.

Anthropologie Planner

This summer I’ve been desperately trying to get my life together. On top of working from home making me more unorganized, I also realized that the last planner I had ended in July (whoops!). I saw this one online at Anthropologie and I immediately fell in love with the cover. I love the cool tone shades and the stickers that come inside. This planner has inspirational quotes at the top of every second page. A lot of these quotes really inspire me and make me want to work harder and go for my goals.

Everything Is Figureoutable by Marie Forleo

I love a good summer reading book. I’ve read multiple books this summer and this book by Marie Forleo really stands out to me. I think everyone should read this book because she guides you through going after your dreams without making excuses. Reading this book has helped me in many different situations because whenever I feel like there’s no way out of a situation I remember that if I want something all I have to do is think critically and find a way.

Supergoop Glowscreen Sunscreen

Since coronavirus placed the world on pause, I’ve been spending much more time outside than I ever have before. I’m a major skincare junkie and I knew that if I wanted to maintain my skin health I’d have to find a sunscreen that I could wear everyday, whether or not I’m wearing makeup. I’ve been eyeing this sunscreen for awhile and when Madewell sent me a $20 off birthday coupon (hello fellow Geminis!) I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try out this sunscreen. This sunscreen is SPF 40, leaves me with a dewy, glowy finish and is super moisturizing. I also use the Glossier Invisible Shield sunscreen but I think I like the Supergoop one more because it makes my skin looks great and it comes with a little more product than Glossier’s.

I hope you guys found something that you’d like to try out! What products have you guys been loving this summer? Comment below!
