Ah, rooftop season. A time when friends can flock to a floor towering over the city, dress in Instagram worthy outfits, feel the cool breeze rush through their tousled locks and clink drinks until the Boomerang app crashes. It’s a pretty glorious season. I’m not eager to head to Manhattan anytime soon since coronavirus cases are still high, so I decided to reminisce about my first NYC rooftop experience at the swanky Mr. Purple. Mr. Purple is a rooftop bar and restaurant located on the 15th floor of Hotel Indigo in the Lower East Side. This bar has pool, multiple seating areas, and an epic view of the Empire State Building. The music, great views, and chill atmosphere makes it the ideal spot to chill out on a summer day or night. If you’re ever in Manhattan, I recommend heading to this spot.
