Hidden downtown in Englewood, NJ, nestled between restaurants and tiny shops, lays a plant and coffee lover’s dream: PlantShed. PlantShed, which also has a location in New York City, is instantly captivating once you step inside. When you walk into the shop you are instantly acquainted with greenery, vibrant flowers, colorful journals, and the scent of more aromatic candles and room sprays than you could dream of. Basically, you are transcended into Heaven. As soon as I walked in I did not know where to start, I could not wait to pick out a new plant, while I was also eager to taste a creamy iced coffee.

Anyone who knows me knows that opening a shop like this is my absolute dream. I love both plants and coffee, so owning a mixture of the two would feel like reaching my own personal nirvana. The shop has so many different plants and flowers to choose from. Catci, sunflowers, roses, and more creep out from every corner. As usual, I gravitate towards the cacti. A unique cactus in an ombre pot with black stones ended up coming home with me and I could not be happier to add it the family.

Once I had my new plant baby all wrapped up and tucked away, I made my way over to the coffee bar. They offer many unique coffees but I decided to stick with the classic iced vanilla latte (which totally exceeded my expectations and put Starbucks to shame). I was impressed to see the amount of vegan pastries that they have available. As a vegetarian who tries to prevent dairy, I was pleasantly surprised to see this.
