5 Facts About Me

Hello everyone! How’s everyone doing? I feel like I haven’t connected with you guys in awhile. I don’t normally write a lot about myself on here so I figured I’d let you guys know a little more about me so you can get to know the person behind the blog. I decided today I’d talk about 5 random facts about me.

I am the youngest child

But not by much! I have one sibling, a sister who is just a year older than me. Because we’re so close in age we ended up always doing everything together. I love having a sibling close in age because it gave me an automatic best friend! When I have kids I definitely would love for them to all be close in age so they can have each other. When I was younger I always wished I had more siblings but now that I’m an adult I’m very grateful for having one sibling because I think my sister and I are closer because of it. I think a sibling bond is so precious and one of the most intimate bonds possible. I really feel for people who have broken relationships with their siblings because they have the potential to be so close! Sharing the same parents as someone else is the ultimate bonding experience, they understand things that no one else ever could.

I studied communication and media

I graduated college in 2019 and I majored in Communications with a concentration in Global Communications and Media. I attended Ramapo College of NJ and I really enjoyed my experience there.

Fun Fact: Ramapo was listed on Conde Nast as one of the most beautiful schools in the U.S.

What Conde Nast said:

Firmly planted between the switchbacks of the Ramapo Mountains in New Jersey, Ramapo has many amenities packed into a relatively small state school. Founded in 1969, the school’s dorms and buildings may not be cast in stone from the 19th century, but that can mean massive improvements when it comes to students’ actual lives. Many dorms are air conditioned, and buildings include the kind of accessibility and modern technologies that some of the older schools on this list have yet to upgrade to. Plus, students have plenty of options for outdoor activities here, whether it be skiing at nearby Camp Gaw or hiking through the Ramapo reservation” (https://bit.ly/3j4uvSP).

I loved learning about various forms of media and techniques. I actually started my blog because it was assignment that I had for one of my classes! For those of you who don’t know, this blog actually started out as a skincare blog! Which leads me to my next point…

I love skincare

When I was in middle school I, like most middle schoolers, went through an awkward phase. My awkward phase consisted of a pimply face that made me feel so insecure. At that time, I decided to dive deep into the world of skincare so I could fix the problem. I stocked up on Clean and Clean and Neutrogena cleansers hoping to combat the acne. What started as an insecurity lead me to my passion! I realized that I loved skincare and I soon became obsessed with making my skin as flawless as possible. I used to ice my face at night, limit the heat in the shower, and sleep only on my back so I wouldn’t put pressure on the skin on my face. I was determined and my skin was glowing. I’m not so extreme anymore but I definitely still love splurging on skincare products and following a skincare routine.

I’m from the east coast… but I want to move to the west coast

I was born in Manhasset, NY and raised in New Jersey. I still live in New Jersey today and I love it here. I love having four seasons and being only 30 minutes away from New York City. Although I love it here I think I’m ready for a change of scenery. I would love to visit the West Coast (I have never been) and explore California or Arizona. I think I would love it there! At some point in my life I definitely want to move to the West Coast, even if it’s just for a couple of months.

I love plants

Growing up my parents always had a plant or two in the house and I remember always wanting to water them and touch them. I think everyone should have plants in their home because they bring so much color and life. All my friends know that I love plants so I always get a couple for gifts on my birthday (fine by me, keep them coming!). My current favorite is a cactus I got from PlantShed. I love the shape, the stones, and the pot it came in (basically everything about this arrangement is gorgeous!).
