Hello friends! November is officially here (I can’t believe 2020 is almost over!) and we are officially moving into the holiday/winter season. I probably had the best Autumns that I have ever had. I experienced growth and self discovery and spent a lot of time with my friends. I have really been trying to prioritize myself and protect my energy. I went hiking, had weekends away, and took time to embrace the changing colors of the Fall. I’m so grateful for this season and the self discoveries and experiences that came into my life. My hope for the winter is that I double down on those experiences and take action.
Now that the weather is officially chilly, I am leaning all towards things fashionable and cozy. I love cool weather fashion because it offers you to be stylish and sleek while also being comfortable and warm. This season, I am most looking forward to spending the holidays with my loved ones, engaging in all the cool weather activities, turning my space into a self care sanctuary, and drinking my body weight in coffee. I decided to make a November mood board because it’s like a mini seasonal vision board. I love making mood boards because they function similarly to vision boards and allow me to collect ideas, styles, and concepts. For November, my mood is being cozy, emotionally healthy, and clean. What’s your November vibe?
This is my absolute favorite winter scent! It smells like pinecones and sitting in front of a warm fire during the holidays. Lately I have prefer using diffusers to candles because I find that the scent tends to be stronger and lingers for an extended period of time. The woodsy scent has notes of apple, clove, fir, pine needle, white birch, vetiver, and musk. If you’re not a diffuser person I recommend trying the candle version. This scent comes in various packaging, each with beautiful green detailing that compliments the home. I love the Capri Blue candles because their packaging is always so pretty. After you have burned the candles all the way through you can use the container as a holder for
I love hiking because it gets me more in touch with nature, while also being an effective workout. Recently I have been trying to up my style by being more intentional about what I’m wearing, instead of throwing on whatever is closest. I love fashion and I want to get more in touch with it because I believe it sparks joy within my essential self. I like these leggings from Alo Yoga because because they are high-waisted (meaning super flattering) and are such a rich color. If you find yourself struggling with motivation to get up and go out, I suggest putting together a workout outfit that you love. If you’re wearing an outfit that you like, you’ll be much more willing to throw it on and workout. I get a lot of my workout clothes from T.J. Maxx because they have tons of fashionable and affordable pieces. If you want to exercise but hiking isn’t really your thing, check out my past posts about exercise for some ideas!

During the fall and winter my coffee obsession really kicks into high gear. The chilly weather and more dreary atmosphere tempts me to take a trip to a local coffee shop so I can add extra coziness to my day. During the Fall I fell in love with the Starbucks pumpkin cream cold brew (if you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend ordering it before the season is over) and I loved it! I’m banking on Starbucks coming out with a festive winter drink. Fingers crossed from something peppermint flavored!

Throughout the winter months I love wrapping myself up in a luscious throw blanket. Not only are throws exceptionally comfortable, but when situated in just the right spot they can be a beautiful decor piece. Instead of having a bunch of “stuff,” as much as possible, I would like to make my decor pieces functional. I love the look of having multiple throws piled up in a basket in the living room or draped around the couch. Not only does it look great, but the throws are now accessible for yourself and for guests.
All The Feels
With Thanksgiving around the corner, November is the perfect month to spend time with family and friends. The best part of the holidays is having designated, uninterrupted time with loved ones. Prepare a homemade dinner, gather around your loved ones, and enjoy time with the people you truly care about. I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving (mostly so I can make my famous pumpkin bread) and getting into the Christmas season. I can’t to start putting my Christmas decorations up and to start collecting gifts for my loved ones.
I hope everyone enjoys this upcoming month and spends it doing whatever it is you love most. My goal is to finish this year on a positive, productive, and happy note. What are you most looking forward to this month? Let’s grow together.
