Don’t you love when you get a gift that is better than you could have expected? The kind of gift that makes you feel like somehow your loved one knows you better than you know yourself? This year for my birthday my best friend gifted me with something I will cherish forever. She got me custom wall hanging of the poem “Phenomenal Woman” by Maya Angelou displayed on it. At the side of the poem there is a sketch of a woman who looks like me (except 10x more glamorous and put together lol). This poem is the ultimate female empowerment anthem because it reminds women that they are naturally intelligent, effortlessly attractive, and phenomenally themself. The poem and sketch reminds me to elevate and continue to work towards my highest potential. I have always been fascinated with strong, powerful women who change the life around them as well as the world.
