Self Care Saturday: Life Update and A Week In Photos

Happy Saturday! Can you believe it’s already mid-May? My birthday is officially less than a month away and I am starting to get really excited for it! I am turning 24 in June and I am starting to plan a weekend getaway with my sister! As of now we are planning on going to Boston, MA. I’ve never been to Boston before and I am excited to see what the city is like.

It’s been over 2 months since I quit my marketing job and I can’t believe it! It’s so interesting to see how things are turning out for me. My original plan after I quit was to take around a month to chill and then get to job hunting. Well… now it has been over 2 months and I still haven’t started formally looking. You know why? Because I don’t want one! Crazy, right? Of course I miss the income, but at this point I am much more interested in enjoying my life than I am with having more money. I look back at how miserable I was at my past marketing job and I feel so proud of myself for being brave and pulling the plug on something that I knew was not right for me. My old boss from my college internship recently reached out to ask me if would be interested in a social media position at her friend’s company. It seems like a cool opportunity so I sent in my resume and am waiting to hear back. I love this low pressure, easy going approach that I am taking for this job process. I am open to new opportunities but I am not going out and seeking anything. I know that what is for me will be for me.

I took a couple cool photos this week so I thought I would share them with you all. Enjoy 🙂

Any fun weekend plans this Saturday? I’m going to a farmers market with my sister today. Comment below what your Saturday plans are!
