Homemade Iced Green Tea Recipe

One of my favorite drinks to sip on in the summer is iced tea. I recently visited Art Cafe in Nyack, New York and had an amazing iced tea, and since then I have been trying to recreate that refreshing, sweetness at home. I am definitely a big tea person. I drink hot tea every single day and I love how calming and settling it is for me. It’s like a warm hug in a cup. I remember once reading something that said something along the lines of “sometimes making a cup of tea isn’t so much about drinking it, but more about it keeping you company,” and honestly, as strange as it sounds, that really resonates with me. Tea has a certain element to it that is so ceremonial and comforting.

Okay, anyway, before this turns into an ode to tea, I wanted to share an easy iced tea recipe that is super simple to recreate at home.

Ingredients

Tea packet

Water

Lemon

Sugar

Honey

Making iced tea is basically as easy as boiling pasta, all you need is some hot water. Add the hot water to the tea packet and leave it to chill. Once the tea has cooled you can add some ice cubes to get it extra chilled. I love lemon in my iced tea because I think it makes it even more refreshing. I squeeze about half a lemon in and add about a teaspoon of sugar and a squeeze of honey. You can of course add any amount of sugar, honey, and lemon as you’d like. That’s the great thing about iced tea, it’s so versatile.

I hope you enjoyed this simple, at home iced tea recipe. Share any other drink recipes you have in the comments below and follow my blog for more lifestyle and wellness content.

I tried it with lemongrass tea and it was delicious! I used molasses instead of honey though but it still turned out great 😊
