As I’m sure you guys know by now, I love Fall and every year I like to have at least one farm day during the season. This week I went to Wightman Farms in Morristown, New Jersey because I have never been to this Farm before and I love Morristown. Wightman Farm has been family operated since 1922. They have a farm market, hay rides, pumpkin picking, apple picking, and more. Right now they’re offering no contact curbside pickup for those who are taking extra precautions to protect themselves from COVID.
As soon as my sister and I got to the farm she made a beeline for the apple picking tickets. Because we live together, I decided to pick with her instead of purchasing my own ticket. Once we got to the Orchard we saw that they had signs labeling where each type of apple was. I thought this was a helpful feature because it allowed for everyone to effortlessly find the exact type of apple that they prefer. Most apples had already fallen off the trees so we ended up picking up most of them from the ground. Luckily we were able to spot a couple good ones still hanging.

After the Orchard we headed over to the farm market, I was so excited to go to the market because I’ve been dying to find seasonal Fall foods. I ended up taking home apple cider and pumpkin spiced pancakes! I’ve never tried pumpkin spiced pancakes so I’m really looking forward to trying them and making a delicious Autumn themed dish.
After the farm we headed to downtown Morristown for lunch and we ate at The Committed Pig. The Committed Pig focuses on “contemporary comfort food, highlighting gourmet burgers and a la carte brunch.” I normally don’t eat breakfast food for lunch but I couldn’t resist. Because they specialize in breakfast food I ordered blueberry pancakes with sausage and my sister and I shared a Mac and cheese appetizer. The food was amazing and I definitely want to go back again and try the other items on the menu.

After lunch we stopped at Clean Juice down the street because we were craving something refreshing to top off our lunch. I ordered The Longevity which contains organic apple, organic coconut Water, organic Ginger, organic pineapple, and organic spinach. It was so refreshing and perfect after my lunch. I used to make fresh green juice everyday and it reminded me how delicious fresh juice is!
